Organic, natural, and non-toxic – three terms that are often misused

It is common for us to receive questions about whether our products are "natural". We understand that this often concerns quickly determining if a product is of high quality – but unfortunately, reality is more complex.

Why "organic candles" don't exist

To begin with, there is no such thing as an organic candle. The process from planting a seed, through cultivation and further processing, until the raw material becomes a wax, cannot be guaranteed as 100% organic. Many use terms such as organic and 100% natural, but this is unfortunately misleading. Something that is 100% natural can only be a raw material picked directly from nature and produced without any synthetic additives. Why synthetic fragrance oils are not a bad thing

When it comes to natural fragrance oils, it's important to know that only essential oils are completely natural – and they are not necessarily free from health or allergy risks. Nature contains many potent and sometimes toxic substances, and because essential oils are so concentrated, they can cause allergies or hypersensitivity.

Therefore, fragrance oils and perfumes are often developed in laboratories. This makes it possible to comply with the limit values required by laws and regulations, which creates a safer and more controlled product. Producing fragrance oils synthetically is therefore not negative – but it means they are not natural in a strict sense.
