History
The Friendly Home Stockholm AB was founded in 2014 as a family business in Värmdö and has since experienced steady growth. The company is still run by the family but today has several employees. All production takes place in Värmdö in the Stockholm archipelago.
We quickly became a partner with Hemtex and distributed our Friendly Collection in all Hemtex stores in Sweden and Finland. The scent Fresh, in particular, became a bestseller. Over the years, we have produced fragrance products for several strong brands that are represented both in Sweden and internationally and are sold at, for example, Harrods, Åhléns, and LYKO.
The Owners
Catharina and Mats Kallmert founded the company in the middle of their lives after both had previous careers in various multinational companies. Gradually, the couple's sons have also become involved in the business's growth.
We run our company with a focus on environment, social benefit, people, and stability – values that permeate everything we do. Our sustainable business is based on a circular economy, where we actively work to reduce our ecological footprint and conserve natural resources.
We strive to create sustainable products and solutions that not only benefit our customers but also contribute positively to society and the planet. By using a holistic approach, we ensure that every small part of our business, from production to delivery, plays an important role in creating a larger whole for the environment and people.
We believe in combining business success with sustainable development and are proud to work with methods that promote both economic and environmental sustainability.
Sustainability
The Friendly Home operates according to the "zero waste" concept, which means that we strive to minimize our waste. We take responsibility for our waste, such as production materials, packaging, and wrapping. The purpose is that waste should not be incinerated or, even worse, end up in our nature, threatening our environment and the health of animals and humans. An example of our work on waste is that we recycle excess material from our production. Leftover wax is transformed into products sold at cost price, and leftover material from diffuser production becomes scent samples offered to our customers. We use plastic as little as possible, and we ensure that all cardboard boxes from our purchases are reused or recycled.
We take our responsibility seriously
Examples of this include:
FTI, which strives to ensure that as many packaging items as possible are collected and recycled to the highest possible degree. We report and pay for our waste, which, among other things, finances recycling stations.
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, which works to both reduce and prevent waste, and to integrate as much waste as possible into circular systems.
Sedex, a world-leading organization that works to encourage companies to improve working conditions in a global supply chain. By being part of this organization, we ensure that our international suppliers comply with ethical and legal laws and regulations.
We sponsor Perfect World Foundation, a Swedish organization that supports global biodiversity through its projects.
