Collection: Experience our exclusive scented candles

In our range, we have developed scented candles with aromas that make you feel good. Did you know that scents can even affect your health, counteract stress, and facilitate mental recovery? Adding positive scents to your daily life with something as simple as a scented candle can make a bigger difference than you think!

A pleasant scent activates the parasympathetic nervous system in your brain, which is active during rest and recovery. It lowers your heart rate, calms your body, and kick-starts digestion and bowel activity. Natural scents can also have an extra impact on your well-being. We all have special memories in our lives that can be triggered by a scent. This can range from tar to roses. Freshly washed sheets, newly cut grass, or freshly baked buns.

Which scented candle suits you?

Among our scented candles, you'll find a wide variety of fragrances that can appeal to your well-being. Among the natural scents, we can mention Cotton, Blossom, Rhubarb, Bamboo, Lavender, Pine Tree, Cedarwood, and Meadow Lily. But don't forget that all our scented candles contain a blend of many different fragrances that can be uniquely experienced by you. Take Dark Cashmere as an example. This scent has a sensual and elegant character with top notes of grapefruit and a soft leather scent at its heart. The base notes include wood and amber. Only you know which one suits you best, and you might need to try a few. If you're unsure, you can order our scent samples or a small bottle of fragrance oil, which you can also use in an aroma diffuser or in your household products, such as laundry detergent or vacuum cleaner bags.

Why you should choose organic scented candles

If you want to prioritize your health and the environment, it's important to choose organic scented candles, i.e., candles made from wax that does not contain paraffin. Paraffin is often a byproduct of crude oil, which means it releases particles that can affect your indoor environment. Candles made from 100% natural waxes burn with a clear flame and do not produce soot.

We often get asked if our scented candles are chemical-free. All fragrance oils are classified as chemicals, but that doesn't mean they are toxic. Essential oils extracted from plants are also chemicals that may potentially be toxic. We are careful to choose fragrance oils that are kind to both nature and us humans. Information about the contents is always on the labeling as fragrance products are subject to the CLP regulation. Organic scented candles are still more sustainable because they are biodegradable and do not contribute to air pollution when burned.

Care instructions

Keep the scented candle lit until the wax has melted all the way to the edge of the container to prevent a hole from forming in the candle. This is especially important the first time you light it. If it burns for a shorter period, there's a risk of a tunnel forming in the wax.

A scented candle should ideally not burn for more than 2-3 hours per use. If it burns for too long, the wax gets hotter and melts too quickly.

Trim the wick to about 2-3 millimeters each time the candle is lit. If the wick is too long, the wax melts too quickly. By trimming the wick, the candle lasts longer. If the wick starts to burn too intensely and a "mushroom" forms on the wick, it is too long and should be trimmed.

Store your scented candle in a dry place at room temperature. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. Organic candles should not be stored in heat above 25 degrees Celsius or in cold below 0 degrees Celsius, as this can affect the quality. If exposed to high heat, the quality of the scent may decrease, and in cold, the wax may crack.

If you accidentally spill soy wax, you can easily remove it with warm water and soap or detergent. Once your scented candle has burned down, you can easily wash out the glass container and reuse it.

Safety

  • A scented candle should not burn for more than 3-4 hours at a time. Candles in small glass containers have a higher risk of overheating and should not be lit for more than 2-3 hours at a time.
  • If the scented candle starts to burn with a strong flame, the wick is too long. Extinguish it immediately and let it cool.
  • A scented candle placed in a draft burns with an "unsettled flame." Move it to a place where there is no draft.
  • Candles should never be left unattended. Be extra careful when children and animals are nearby.
  • Candles should not be placed in groups as there is a risk of overheating.
  • Avoid moving a burning candle.
    - If you spill wax on a surface, wipe it off immediately with a soft cloth.

Common questions about scented candles

How long does a scented candle burn?

The burn time of a scented candle depends on the size of the candle and the wick. A small candle with a small wick can burn for 5-10 hours, while a large candle with a large wick can burn for 20-30 hours.

How can you make the scent spread better?

Place the scented candle in the middle of the room. You can also extinguish the wick and let it sit for a few hours, allowing the scent to absorb into the surroundings.

What is the difference between paraffin and stearin candles?

There is a major misconception about what a stearin candle contains. Stearin is not a raw material in itself, but a collective name for various natural raw materials that the wax contains, but not paraffin. When products are labeled with 100% stearin, it means that the product is made from vegetable or animal wax. If it is vegetable wax, it is most often palm wax, which is a hard wax that can be used in, for example, pillar candles. There is both environmentally friendly RSPO-certified palm wax and palm wax that is harmful to the environment. If it is animal wax, it is made from residues of animal slaughter. Paraffin is a byproduct, often from crude oil. It is a cheaper raw material, and thus pillar and block candles produced from paraffin are cheaper.
