Tester, tester, tester....

One might think that only melted wax and fragrance oil are needed to make a scented candle, but unfortunately, it's not that simple. Each candle has its own unique composition of wax type, wick brand choice, and, most importantly, wick size. The fragrance oil must be added in an exact volume, and all of this is so that the candle burns with a clear and stable flame, the wax melts all the way to the edge of the glass, the flame doesn't drown in the wax, and, above all, isn't too high, making the candle flammable or causing soot. Many tests with different variations of combinations are required before finding the perfect one.
